Cover and DOUBLE-PAGE spread
I have two cover and feature designs for Vox magazine, focusing on the Syrian crisis. They demonstrate how design can shape the perspective of an event or story.
The first design heavily relies on photojournalism, using tangible paper fragments to evoke a strong empathetic response.
Although more informative, the second design feels inappropriate compared to the first. The faceless illustrations seem out of place and diminish the gravity of the situation, leaving readers confused or appalled.
